Safety First

Everyday as our law enforcement partners, you go out into the community and are faced with having to assist the public with a traumatic situation. Many of these scenes are biohazardous and the family is looking to you, to help with erasing the tragedy, which means assisting them with the cleanup. At times there is chaos from the minute you arrive, and you are trained to bring calm to chaos, but are you prepared for the following questions: What will you say when the family asks you for help? What tools and resources will you give them to help them in their time of need? Have you protected yourself before entering the scene? Most likely, you may need some help with these questions and BioTechs is here for you.

BioTechs’ recovery technicians are leading experts in the crime & trauma scene cleaning industry staffed by Firefighters, EMTs and Police Officers, you are receiving highly professional service 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

What You Should Know

When responding to a scene your protection as well as the protection of others is imperative. Often members of the community are so traumatized in the moment, that they remain in the home unaware of existing dangers and unintentionally cause cross contamination. As a law enforcement officer, you are of the mindset to respond quickly and bring chaos to calm, which means you are immediately involved in the scene and before you know it, are exposed to potential risks of bloodborne pathogens. Many people are unaware of the risks that are present when dealing with blood and bodily fluids. There are many bloodborne pathogen infections that can be transmitted through contact with another person’s blood or bodily fluid. Did you know that 1 out of every 24 people has Hepatitis B, Hepatits C or HIV. That is why knowing about proper PPE and other OSHA compliant rules and regulation are key for your safety protocols. At BioTechs, we take pride in our ongoing training to ensure we are compliant and up to date with all OSHA guidelines, and we take additional measures when it comes to liability and insurance coverage for our company.

Education and Assistance

BioTechs has been community partners with local and state law enforcement for the past two decades, providing services for the public as well as keeping our first responders safe by servicing their fleet, jail cells and even police substations. We witness first hand how our first responders work closely with the community and the passion and dedication that goes into the personal assistance they provide to bring peace to our community.
